Today marks 2 months since we’ve said I do. I think today is the most perfect day to reminisce on one of the most love-filled days of our lives. Let’s dive right into 20 of my favorite memories from our wedding day, November 16th, 2019.
# ONE – SIMPLICITY
Converse. A borrowed handkerchief. Self-made invites & whole foods flowers. The one thing I didn’t want my wedding to be was complicated.

# TWO – SISTERS
My sisters are my world, and the only people I wanted standing by my side on my wedding day. I am truly blessed to have 3 of the best friends in them. Matchy, matchy tanks “Ain’t no sisters like the ones I’ve got” made by me. I wanted something that we could always wear, not just on wedding day! It was extra special getting ready with just my sisters, momma, grandmas and mother-in-law. It really helped keep me calm (I run on anxious most days). We rented an Airbnb 3 minutes from the church so that we didn’t have to worry about Nashville traffic, and so we could have extra time for photos.
# THREE – MOMMA TIME
My momma is the best momma. She came down one whole week before the wedding and we spent quality time together + did all the wedding prep. I love her. She loves us girls so well. She gifted each of us a bracelet/locket with a mommy/daughter photo in it. The sweetest gift, well besides her love.

# FOUR – FAMILY HEIRLOOM
My beautiful, kindhearted mother-in-law gifted me with a necklace that she wore on her very own wedding day. It was passed down to her on her wedding day from her aunt.

# FIVE – 1ST LOOK DADDY DAUGHTER STYLE
My dad, my fishing buddy, my rock. When I was the depths of my darkest days with panic disorder, I hated leaving the house. For about a year, a few times a week, my dad would come home from work and we would go on a long walk outside and talk about all of my anxious thoughts, limiting beliefs, and life in general. The hundreds of fishing trips we’ve been on together will always be dear to my heart, but THIS, this speaks volumes about that father he is. This first look was so special to me. I’ll always be daddy’s little girl, after all, he loved me first.

# SIX – “G” MADE IT TO NASH
My “G” <3 For the 22 years that I lived in Illinois I saw my G every single week. I cried when she told me she might not make it to my wedding. It all worked out in the end. I loved this sweet moment. I was walking back in from my first look with my dad, and “G” saw me in my dress for the first time. She had the biggest smile and tears running down her face. I’ll cherish these photos forever.

# SEVEN – “HAVE A NICE LIFE”
Sure, I cried walking down the aisle with my dad, and so did he. But, the thing that really got me at the end… He said, “Have a nice life.” as he passed me off to Jordan. I didn’t know if I should cry or laugh.

# EIGHT – MADE HIM CRY
Jordan told me he wouldn’t cry on our wedding day. To that, I say, “See photos below.” Yesssssss.

# NINE – ALL SMILES CEREMONY
I was really, really, anxious for our wedding day. Keeping it small made me feel a lot better about it. But, the second my dad gave me a way to J it all melted away and I could. not. stop. smiling!

#TEN – THE VOWS, THE RINGS, THE MARRIAGE THINGS
My favorite part about our vows/ring exchange was when Jordan forgot to repeat after the Priest. Hehe. Oh. and for some reason, we got to kiss twice! that was fun!

#ELEVEN – THE DADS READING
Lucky to have these to God-loving men in our lives.

# TWELVE – THAT JUST MARRIED FEELING
See photo 1 – I almost fell down the steps, and forgot my flowers! BUT WE DID IT! YAY!!

# THIRTEEN – FAMILY IS EVERYTHING
We kept our wedding list to immediate family, aunts, uncles, and first cousins only (with 3 friends each). Best decision we ever made. I LOVE OUR FAMILIES.

# FOURTEEN – THE SISTER PICTURE
My older sister got married in 2016, my younger sister just 2.5 months before me – we’ve recreated this photo of us on the steps at every wedding. I wish I had the others to show you!

# FIFTEEN – COUPLE PICTURES!
Okay, so maybe I never dreamed of my wedding day growing up, but I’m a sucker for couple pictures. So I LOVE THESE!

# SIXTEEN – SURPRISE ROLLS ROYCE
When your parents surprise you with a Rolls Royce rental and your mom says she picked it “because I knew Jordan would love it and you would love to take pictures with it even though I knew you wouldn’t know what it was.”

# SEVENTEEN – OUR SECOND FIRST DATE
This is the exact spot we had our second first date, almost 5 months after the “I don’t know you and we have no mutual friends but you messaged me on Instagram so I guess we’ll meet up” date. Our first real date and the very first day I realized I actually did like Jordan even though my friends were telling me for months.

# EIGHTEEN – ML ROSE AFTER PARTY
We didn’t call, and it’s always crowded at ML Rose, because it’s simply THE BEST (if you are ever in Nashville you must go, especially on Thursdays for 2for1s) but they had a huge table open, perfect for us! We really wanted to go back to the place where it all started with our parents, siblings and the grandmas. After our ceremony, all the other guests left to explore Nashville and they would join us again late in the evening.
M.L. Rose is important to us. Before we even had our second first date, ML Rose was part of our story. For almost 5 months, every two weeks after our first date, Jordan would text me and ask me to dinner. I would always say no, but I would invite him to ML for Thursday happy hour with my friends. He would always show up. It was the cutest thing. Months later, I was sitting in the living room with my roommates after just having eaten dinner. I texted Jordan and said, “I’m hungry want to go to ML Rose?” I wasn’t hungry. I just ate. I threw my phone across the room and said to my roommates “Fine. I like him. I just asked him out to dinner and I am not even hungry!”
When we told the ML Rose staff our story they gifted us with a card, cake, a round of champagne, and a gift card! It was the sweetest, most fun, after the wedding celebration!

# NINETEEN – PRIVATE DINNER AT SINEMA
After drinks and apps at ML we headed across the street for a private dinner at Sinema. Just the siblings, parents, and grandmas. It was the perfect time to reflect on the day with our immediate families. Lots of good food, and good wine!

# TWENTY – FAMILY & FRIENDS SOCIAL
After our private dining experience was complete, family and friends joined us for drinks and conversation in the upstairs lounge at Sinema. It was the perfect way to end the night hugging all the people we love.
